"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague." -Cicero
Advice From Former Victims of Communism
Those who have previously lived under total Communism should be heeded. Their lives and experiences are testimonies that make them experts on what to watch for, what to listen for and what to expect from tyrannical governments.
I have always shared with my three kids this advice and I am not sure where I got it: A smart man learns from his mistakes, but a wise man learns from other peoples mistakes. I pray we are wise in the days ahead.- W.E.
